About Indigo Unbound

Rooted in truth.   Rising in liberation.

OUR EVOLUTION

Indigo Unbound is the natural evolution of a vision that began as IndigoWomen — a sacred community for Black women leaders to rest, reconnect, and rise.

Over time, that circle grew — not just in size, but in scope and soul.

We witnessed a universal truth: liberation cannot be contained. It ripples outward — from women to men, from individuals to families, from leaders to entire communities.

As our work deepened, so did our calling. Indigo Unbound emerged to hold a larger purpose — to create sacred and strategic spaces for all Black people navigating leadership, entrepreneurship, and impact.

This rebrand is more than a name change. It’s a spiritual expansion — a widening of the container so that freedom itself could take up more room.

Our new identity honors the same heartbeat — grounded in love, truth, and wholeness — but now beats louder, broader, and deeper.

Because when we unlearn, reclaim, and rise together, the world transforms with us.

OUR PURPOSE

Unlearn. Reclaim. Be Free.

At Indigo Unbound, we believe liberation is not an abstract idea — it’s a daily discipline.

It’s how we lead meetings, raise families, build businesses, and tend to our own becoming.

We exist to support Black leaders and visionaries to integrate consciousness, leadership, and love — so they can live and lead from alignment, not exhaustion.

Our purpose is threefold:

  • Unlearn what no longer serves — the beliefs, behaviors, and systems that keep us bound.

  • Reclaim our inner rhythm, rest, and power — redefining excellence on our own terms.

  • Be Free — to live from authenticity, to lead from soul, and to expand beyond survival into sustainable joy.

When we live in this rhythm, wealth, impact, and rest coexist.
Because true abundance requires alignment, not overextension.

THE FREEDOM 4 METHOD™️

A MAP FOR CONSCIOUS LIBERATION

Developed by Founder & CEO, Shayna Renée Hammond, the Freedom 4 Method™️ is our signature framework — a roadmap for moving from force to flow, from survival to sovereignty.

THE FREEDOM 4 METHOD™️

This method invites transformation across four embodied steps:

  1. Reveal the Truth — See yourself clearly. Name what’s real. Begin the process of remembering who you are beneath the expectations and the armor.

  2. Intend to Heal — Commit to your wholeness. Integrate the parts of you you’ve rejected. Allow compassion, not criticism, to guide your evolution.

  3. Sync with Rhythm — Replace striving with harmony. Align your life and leadership with your natural cycles of energy, creativity, and rest.

  4. Embody Love — Lead from wholeness. Allow love — for yourself, your people, your purpose — to become your strategy, your practice, and your power.

The Freedom 4 Method™️ bridges the practical and the spiritual — grounding visionary leadership in mindfulness, neuroscience, and emotional intelligence.

It is not a theory. It’s a lived practice — a way of leading and living that centers liberation as a lifestyle.

Shayna Renée Hammond

Founder. Visionary. Guide.

Shayna Renée Hammond is a master facilitator, serial entrepreneur, business investor, award-winning author, and consciousness coach dedicated to the liberation and elevation of Black leaders and communities.

With over 20 years of experience spanning education, business, and social impact sectors, Shayna’s work lives at the sacred intersection of strategy, spirit, and systems change.

She is the Founder and CEO of Indigo Unbound, and the visionary behind multiple thriving ventures that center leadership, liberation, and legacy — including Lead For Liberation.

An award-winning former educator, Shayna began her career in public education, where she witnessed firsthand the brilliance and burden of leadership. Those early experiences sparked her lifelong commitment to reimagining what leadership could look like when wholeness, not exhaustion, was the goal.

Today, her work continues to guide high-achieving Black leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries toward a more sustainable and liberated way of living, leading, and loving.

A New Model of Leadership

Shayna’s leadership philosophy is both simple and revolutionary:

You don’t raise performance by pushing harder — you raise it by                    elevating consciousness.

She believes leadership is not about control — it’s about clarity.
Not about perfection — but presence.

And that when Black leaders remember their power, everything they touch transforms — their organizations, their families, and the collective consciousness of our communities.

Her approach bridges ancient wisdom and modern strategy, blending mindfulness and neuroscience, stillness and structure, intellect and intuition.

Through her teaching, Shayna creates environments where even the most high-performing people finally have permission to pause — not to disconnect, but to reconnect with the rhythm of their purpose.
Entrepreneur. Investor. Innovator.

As a serial entrepreneur and business investor, Shayna leads with both vision and discipline — modeling that wealth, impact, and rest can coexist.

Her portfolio of purpose-driven ventures reflects her deep belief in collective advancement: she invests in Black-owned businesses, leadership initiatives, and community-driven projects that expand economic empowerment and systemic equity.

Through these endeavors, Shayna models a regenerative approach to success — one rooted in purpose, collaboration, and shared abundance.

Author. Educator. Storyteller.

An award-winning author, Shayna’s writing bridges consciousness work with practical leadership strategy. Her words invite readers to reflect deeply, lead intentionally, and live from authenticity.

Before stepping fully into the world of leadership and consciousness work, Shayna was an award-winning educator, serving as a teacher and school and district leader who championed equity, excellence, and joy in learning.

Those years in education shaped her belief that leadership is a sacred trust — one that must always begin with self-awareness and care.

Mother. Athlete. Whole Human.

Outside of her professional life, Shayna embodies the rhythm she teaches.

She is a devoted mother, raising her children with love, curiosity, and a deep sense of purpose.

A lifelong athlete, she approaches movement as meditation — a way to listen to her body’s wisdom, stay grounded in rhythm, and cultivate endurance of both body and spirit.

Whether in the boardroom, on the yoga mat, or cheering from the sidelines, Shayna leads with the same energy she teaches: presence, intention, and grace.

OUR CORE VALUES - be free

Our values form the rhythm of how we live, work, and lead — internally as a team and externally within our community.
Together, they spell our collective invitation: BE FREE.

B — Be Authentic

We tell the truth — first to ourselves, then to each other.

We lead with transparency, vulnerability, and integrity, creating space where everyone can show up as their full, unmasked selves. Authenticity is our compass; it guides every connection and decision we make.

E — Experience Joy

Joy is not a reward — it’s a right. We cultivate joy daily as a source of power and renewal, not as an afterthought.

Within our organization, joy fuels creativity and collaboration; within our community, it becomes a quiet form of resistance and restoration.

F — Facilitate Growth

We are both teachers and learners. We grow through reflection, feedback, and evolution — personally and collectively.

Every experience we create, internally and externally, is designed to stretch capacity without compromising wellbeing.

R — Regenerate Relationships

We believe relationships are ecosystems that thrive through care, accountability, and repair.

Inside Indigo Unbound, we honor relationship as practice — tending to trust, celebrating difference, and nurturing community. Outside, we model partnership rooted in reciprocity and mutual expansion.

E — Expand Influence

We use our platforms and resources to expand what liberation looks like in business, leadership, and life.

We lead with purpose and courage — amplifying voices, ideas, and impact that align with justice, joy, and collective freedom.

E — Embody Love

Love is both our strategy and our standard. We make decisions, design experiences, and build partnerships through the lens of compassion and care.

Internally, love looks like belonging; externally, it looks like leadership that heals rather than harms.

OUR APPROACH TO LEADERSHIP

At Indigo Unbound, leadership is not defined by titles or outcomes alone — it’s defined by energy, alignment, and integrity.

We believe:

  • Consciousness is the foundation of effective leadership.

  • Healing and strategy must coexist.

  • Community is not a support system — it’s a source of wisdom.

Through reflective coaching, transformative retreats, and intentional practice, we support leaders to bridge the gap between who they are and how they lead.

We invite them to trade burnout for rhythm, pressure for purpose, and isolation for belonging.

Because when Black leadership is liberated, everyone rises.

Why We Exist — The Deeper Why

In a moment when Black freedom feels under direct threat — politically, culturally, spiritually — Indigo Unbound stands as a sanctuary for possibility.

We are here to protect joy.

To remind our people that wholeness is not a privilege; it’s our inheritance.

We exist so that the next generation of Black leaders doesn’t have to choose between impact and inner peace, between success and selfhood, between ambition and alignment.

We are building a new paradigm of leadership — one where wealth, wellness, and wisdom walk together.

When we unlearn what keeps us small, reclaim our divine rhythm, and live unbound — we don’t just change our lives; we expand what’s possible for our people.
